Hi
My current h-1 B visa in passport expires May 1, 2007. And I have a I-94 valid till May 1, 2007. I already got 3 yr h-1 b extension valid from May 2, 2007. I have to travel to canada in March and I am planning to get the new H-1B visa stamping when I am there instead of making another trip.
Is it possible to go for visa stamping for the extension h-1b, when the intial
H-1B visa is still valid. My understanding is if the visa is issued, all the previous visas will be cancelled. In that case, Can I re-enter US in March with a H-1B valid only from May, 2007
I would greatly appreciate responses from any one who faced the same situation.

While travelling on Advance Parole, which job title should I mention to the immigration officer. The Job Titile is different on H1-B and Permanent Residency application. Thanks.

I understand the wages lesser than specified in Labor is a real potential issue. But what about wages much higher than specified? 10-20% increase will be fine, but what about 50% or 100% jump.
Many of us live in consulting world and in a billing sharing mechanism where your annual wages fluctuates. I am talking to a potential client which can give me a significant raise (please note I am not transferring H1 or using EAD and will be staying with the same GC filing company with 140 approved and 485 pending).
Has anyone ever met a real case when high wage jump created a problem?

Technically, You AOS application provides you status. So, unlike on H1b, you can be without a job for a long strech of time. The problem arrives, when there is an REF on your I-485 application to show proof of offer. If you can show proof of employment, you should be fine. But, There is a possiblity that USCIS might ask you for recent paystubs or W2s. So, I wouldnt be without a job for too long.
At least this is my understanding of it. Anyone differing from this opinion?

YES, (1) in the same line of specialty area (2) and full time & part time employer should permit taking up another job (ie. some employers ask you to sign a agreement not to work for another employer during the employment with them)

Trying to help Mother-In-Law over from China for visit. Unsuccessful w/ tourist Visa process, so now going for Green Card. Received Notice of Decision against me, unable to establish my Petitioner wife is daughter of Beneficiary Mother-In-Law. No hospital records. Previous evidence was "Notarial Certificate of Relationship." I have just received new evidence "Notarial Certificate of Birth" from civil authorities - along with affidavit from school teacher - I need to file EOIR-29, I think to call it APPEAL, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, MOTION TO RECONSIDER - can anyone provide a "go-by" as to what format my letter should take? Is letter format acceptable or is formal pleading format needed?
Time is of the essence, I have to file within 24 hours or give up and pursue DNA testing....

Often it is written on the lens (on the front), as part of the whole labeling there. Also the box/documentation of the lens should have that information. If you don't have that, you should be able to find that info on the Internet/manufacturer's homepage. Of course you could also try measuring, but you have to be relatively exact there.
